I had the standard seat and the land I mow is not the smoothest.  With the original seat I could only mow at Half the speed the Maverick mower was capable to mow at.  Once I put this seat on I was able to mow at full speed or close to it in most areas.  Just to let you know I mow about 12 acers and the savings in time just putting this seat on has paid for itself!!

The seat is a nice improvement for my ZT Elite. A thousand dollars seems crazy for a mower seat but Im very happy. The ride is amazing.
